“My friends, I will have an energy policy which will eliminate our dependence on oil from Middle East that will then prevent us from having ever to send our young men and women into conflict again in the Middle East.”

| Nobody needs tell anybody that it is all about oil. It is an open secret . Americans have done this again and again and if we don’t we will be finished. Crude is trading at $140 a barrel .It is at an all time high and unlikely to go down. If anything else , oil prices will only go up. And who do you think controls the oil tap? The Arabs , Iraqis and Iranians. I think it is imperative that we invade Iran. I am sure white house guys are working on some brainy scheme to takeover Iran. If McCain wins , we are sure to have a war with Iran. |

| What about Mexico ,Canada ,Russia and some other countries as well. We are having a verbal duel with Iran over their Nuclear arsenal. This is the same story of Iraq. We invaded them because of their Nuclear bombs! Where are the bombs ? No one knows. If there are no nuclear weapons in Baghdad why are we fighting this stupid war. We got a licking in Vietnam . Lately we barely managed to escape from Afghanistan . Don’t our political leaders understand simple logic. Times have a changed. We can no longer drop a nuclear bomb ( like Hiroshima and Nagasaki) and be done with it. Oil is only a part of the problem. |

| 9. What is happening to alternative fuels? Obviously big oil companies would never let it happen. I mean research on alternative fuels. And we are the largest oil guzzling nation in the world. Our cars are the biggest , heaviest and most uneconomical. And now we are going to pay a price for it. Crude has hit $142 a barrel and still rising. It is now that we are collectively howling . But it is too late. OPEC countries are laughing all the way to the bank. Do you think we cant come up with alternative fuels for our vehicles? Of course we can. But only if the big oil guys in the business let us . |

| 6. Has anybody heard of the fuel cell car? Japanese car makers are once again ahead in this game. And with the oil prices as they are , alternate fuels would come into their own. What I am worried about is that American car makers would once again fail in this new race towards green fuels. Why is it that we never learn from our mistakes. We are supposed to be an innovative nation. Where has our creativity gone? Are we too laid back or probably too proud to recognize our problems? Meanwhile the fuel cell will take over all our cars. |

| That’s what I am worried about. The Japanese took over our automobile industry and we just sat there doing nothing. Now the Indians ,Chinese and everyone else is taking away our jobs and we are still doing nothing. The fuel cars would again flood our market and the Japanese would once again show us the way. Are we blind or what? Cant we see that the American way of life is being dictated by foreigners ? Where is our creativity and ingenuity ? We seem to have lost our will to win. That’s why we are in this mess. Coming back to alternate fuels , the US government should take the lead . Rather than spending billions in Iraq let’s focus on our own problems. I am sure we can discover a thousand alternatives to oil . |
