I've heard from TV news about the significant of "Corn Hair". It was experimented by our young science students in one of the prestigious science high school in the philippines, that the hair of a corn can be converted to a fabric. Does anyone here knows about it?

Well, I wouldn't say it's environmentally "free". I live in the corn belt - we're talking about massive habitat loss for prairie species and rampant pesticide use.

Anyway farmers have their different way in culturing their plants. In our place corn plantations doesn't need much pesticides and they don't even spray it. They just cleaned the environment were the corn planted. So I could say that it would be environmentally free.

Well, wiping out native habitats to plant corn is still not environmentally free. You have to consider the effect on water tables and habitat loss.
